On ReadyHubb, you may be protected if a client disputes a cancellation fee—but only if your policy was clearly presented and accepted at the time of booking. Once a chargeback is filed, the final decision always rests with the client’s bank.
How to Protect Your Cancellation Fees
To improve your chances of winning a chargeback related to cancellation:
Make sure your cancellation and refund policies are clear and visible on your service page
Ensure clients agree to your terms during the booking process
Use ReadyHubb Custom Forms or confirmation messages to document client acknowledgment
Keep screenshots of communication and any attempt to resolve the issue
What Happens if a Dispute Is Filed?
If a client challenges a cancellation fee:
You’ll receive a notification via email and SMS
You’ll have 7 days to submit evidence, including signed forms, policy screenshots, or messages
ReadyHubb will submit your documentation to our payment processor
The client’s bank will make the final decision
Even with a clear cancellation policy, chargeback outcomes depend on whether the policy was accepted and properly documented.
