When a client files a chargeback and their bank decides in their favor, the disputed amount is automatically refunded to the client. This process is fully managed by Stripe, Readyhubb’s secure payment processor. You don’t need to take any manual action to issue the refund—but you will see deductions in your Readyhubb balance.

How the Refund Is Processed

Here’s what happens when a dispute is lost:

  • 💳 The disputed amount is deducted directly from your Readyhubb balance.

  • 💰 If your balance is too low, the deducted amount will be withheld from your upcoming payouts until the full amount is recovered.

  • ⚙️ Processing fees apply:

    • A $15 dispute processing fee is charged automatically by our payment processor when a client files a dispute.

    • If you choose to counter or respond to the dispute, an additional $15 counter-dispute fee is applied.

    • Total potential cost: $30 in fees plus the full disputed amount.

    • If you win the dispute, the $15 counter fee is refunded, but the initial $15 dispute fee is non-refundable.

Can I Still Contact the Client?

Yes — you may reach out to the client if you believe the dispute was filed in error or due to a misunderstanding.
Sometimes clients withdraw their dispute by contacting their bank directly, especially when the service or product was properly delivered.

However, once the client’s bank finalizes the chargeback, the refund cannot be reversed by Readyhubb or Stripe.

What This Means for Your Account

  • The transaction appears as a deduction in your reports and payout statements.

  • The booking remains in your history and is marked with a dispute record.

  • We recommend regularly reviewing your client communication, consent forms, and cancellation policies to help prevent future disputes.

⚠️ Note and Support

  • Readyhubb assists you in collecting and submitting evidence during the dispute process, but the final decision is made by the client’s bank.

  • Failing to respond to a dispute on time will result in automatic loss of the case and deduction of funds.

  • Proper documentation and clear communication with clients can greatly reduce your chargeback risk.
